Common questions

Before you choose

Which certification licenses me to practise in Jordan?

The Jordanian Certified Public Accountant (JCPA) is the professional licence for accountants in Jordan, awarded by the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants. The other international certifications are professional credentials, not practising licences.

I have just graduated. Where do I start?

FMAA from the IMA asks for no prior experience or qualifications. Its exam is a single paper of 80 questions in two hours, and its topics overlap with the CMA, so it lays the groundwork for it. Accountant training is another route if practical skills matter more to you than a credential right now.

Can I study in Arabic?

Teaching and materials at Sarh are in Arabic. The exam language follows the awarding body: the CMA exam is in English, the FMAA exam is available in Arabic or English, and the PMP exam is in English with the option to display questions in Arabic.

What is the difference between a certification and a course?

The course is the preparation you study at Sarh. The certification is awarded by the institute or association once you pass its exam. Each certification page explains the awarding body and its conditions; each course page shows dates, fees and enrolment.
